Venison Marinade Recipe
Marinade Ingredients
While I love using this venison marinade recipe for backstraps, it can be used as an all purpose marinade for any cut of meat.
These venison marinade ingredients are common staples in most households.
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons honey mustard (can substitute regular or dijon for different flavoring)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper
Recipe Instructions
For 2 lbs of venison cuts, mix together all ingredients.
Once well combined, place your venison in a shallow dish and cover with the marinade.
Cover the dish and let it rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours, flipping the meat once and recoating with the marinade about 12 hours in.
You can also marinade for half the time. However, the full 24 hours will give you the most robust flavoring and most tender meat.
